"-/ '- <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />APRIL 23. 1968 <br /> <br />Council took under advisement a request for the widening of a section of <br /> <br />Clearview Drive. <br /> <br />Upon inquiry of Mr. George W. Lester, II, Executive Vice-President of Lester <br /> <br />Lumber Company, Inc., Council granted this firm permission to connect to the <br /> <br />City's water and sewer lines a new service station along Route 220 North, <br /> <br />which building will replace that formerly occupied by Kilby's Drive-In <br /> <br />Restaurant, thus extending the agreement formerly applicable to the l1Drive- <br /> <br />In Restaurant" at this location to the new occupancy, this property being <br /> <br />owned by petitioner. <br /> <br />In response to an inquiry from Mr. George Black, manager of Leed's Music <br /> <br />Store, Traffic & Planning Engineer Irving R. McGhee indicated that plans <br /> <br />are already in process to enlarge the unloading-loading zone in front of <br /> <br />this store to accomodate the needs of this firm, coincident with the <br /> <br />vacating of the old City Hall nearby. <br /> <br />Mr. Thomas Pugh, of the Retail Merchants Association, recommended that the <br /> <br />parking spaces on the south side of Church Street, in front of the U.
