<br />11 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />OCTOBER 25, 1966 <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by said Council that its City Manager, Thomas B. Noland, <br />be and is hereby authorized and directed to indicate acceptance by the <br />Ci ty of Martinsville of said revision by affixing his signature to <br />Appalachian's said October 13th proposal; and that the Clerk of the <br />Council of said City be and is hereby directed to file therewith a copy <br />of this resolution. <br /> <br />Council also unanimously adopted revised electric tariffs being effected by <br /> <br />Appalachian Power Company as of November 1, 1966, thus continuing the City's <br /> <br />policy of applying the same tariffs to the City's electric customers as <br /> <br />Appalachian applies to its customers. <br /> <br />In acknowledging the following bids recently received for the construction of <br /> <br />water and sewer lines to serve Meadowview Lane--in connection with subdivision <br /> <br />contract with the Whittle Family Irrevocable Trust--Council unanimously accepted <br /> <br />the lowest total bid received, viz., $15,442.00 suhnitted by Hackler-Seymour <br /> <br />Metal Works, Inc.: <br /> <br />Project: 3,8501 of 6" cast iron water line; and <br />1,380' of 4" vitrefied clay sewer line. <br /> <br />BIDDER <br />Bryant's Plumbing <br />Hackler-Seymour <br />Laramore Construction <br />Prillaman & Pace <br /> <br />WATER <br />$13,015.00 <br />13,075.00 <br />13,105.00 <br />1 4, 887 . 41 <br /> <br />SEWER <br />$ 2,760.00 <br />2,347.00 <br />3,158.00 <br />2,819.68 <br /> <br />TOTAL <br />$1 5, 77 5 .00 <br />1 5, 442 .00 <br />16,263.00 <br />17,707.09 <br /> <br />Council acknowledged invitation to attend the dedicatory services for--and <br /> <br />at--the Blue Ridge Airport, Sunday afternoon, October 30, 1966. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />W.
