<br />/..0 <br />1 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />OCTOBER 11. 1966 <br /> <br />Council also approved, for execution by the City, a subdivision contract with <br /> <br />the PHF Corporation (P. H. Fussell), involving the development by petitioner <br /> <br />of property identified as Candlewyck Court, which is located on the east side <br /> <br />of Indian Trail, diagonally opposite the intersection of Indian Trail and <br /> <br />Beechnut Lane, and west of Beverly Way. <br /> <br />Mr. P. H. Fussell appeared before Council and, as president of the Homebuilders <br /> <br />Association of Martinsville & Henry County, extended an invitation to members <br /> <br />of Council to attend a seminar on "Planning, Zoning, and Land Use" to be held <br /> <br />in Martinsville in the near future. <br /> <br />Pursuant to inquiry of Councilman West and (of) Mr. Raymond Dietz, the latter <br /> <br />a resident of Lanier Road but formerly of Watt Street, Council discussed the <br /> <br />activities and assignment of the recently-reactivated Smoke Abatement <br /> <br />Committee as well as increasing interest in this field by both the State of <br /> <br />Virginia and the Federal Government. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />Clerk of Council <br />
