<br />f) <br />, , <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />AUGUST 9, 1966 <br /> <br />City Manager Noland informed Council that essential plans and specifications <br /> <br />for the City's proposed new City Hall have been completed and that bids <br /> <br />are being invited for the construction of the City Hall, which bids are to <br /> <br />be received and opened August 31, 1966, at 3:00 P.M., EDT, at the City's <br /> <br />new Central Fire Station at the corner of West Church and South Moss Streets. <br /> <br />In accordance with written recommendation of Mr. D. E. Hanel, City <br /> <br />Comrrlissioner of the Revenue, Council directed the refunding of taxes paid <br /> <br />by Lanier Farm, Inc., as a result of erroneous assessment, in the total <br /> <br />amount of $231.26, involving property on Melrose Place (Map Book 8, Page 51, <br /> <br />in the City Clerk's Office), covering the tax years 1963 and 1964. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged receipt of a petition requesting the construction of <br /> <br />curb-and-gutter (on a shared-cost basis) along the l1S00'\ and 11'900" blocks <br /> <br />of Ainsley Street. <br /> <br />City Manager Noland reminded Council of the following scheduled meetings, <br /> <br />viz., (1) with a representative of the Federal Housing and Urban Development <br /> <br />Agency, August 11th, jointly with the City Planning Commission and the <br /> <br />Henry County Board of Supervisors; and (2) a public hearing on proposed <br /> <br />amendrnents and revisions to the City1s dog regulatory ordinance in the <br /> <br />National Guard Armory (on Armory Road), Tuesday, August 16th, beginning <br /> <br />at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />W. }f.' t:a~~~"ci~rk of Council <br />
