<br />H, <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />MAY 31, 1966 <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />1. The issuance of the $1,200,000 Bond Anticipation Note <br />of the said City dated May 9, 1966, payable November 9, <br />1966, bearing interest at the rate of 3.25% per annum be <br />and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed. <br /> <br />2. The action of the Mayor and Clerk of Council of said City <br />in executing said note and delivering said note to <br />Piedmont Trust Company, Martinsville, Virginia and First <br />National Bank of ~furtinsville and Henry County, Martinsville, <br />Virginia be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed. <br /> <br />Vice-Mayor F. T. Renick, M.D., seconded the motion and the <br />resolution was adopted. <br /> <br />_. <br /> <br />All members voting in favor. No one voting against. <br /> <br />It was also by unanimous consent of Council to receive and consider the <br /> <br />recommendation from the Electoral Board that the City purchase an additional <br /> <br />voting machine in order to have an extra such machine in the event an <br /> <br />emergency develops and thus provide the City with nine voting machines, <br /> <br />now that the City has eight voting precincts and polling places. Upon <br /> <br />motion, Council unanimously authorized City Manager Noland to purchase such <br /> <br />machine under an arrangement with the manufacturer similar to purchase <br /> <br />arrangements heretofore effected. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />') \ <br />W.
