') ,
df

TUESDAY

APRIL 25, 1972

Council acknowledged comments by Mr. C. A. Trull on the City's "Clean-Up

Week" campaign as well as on the need for eliminating "blind" street

intersections. Members of Council expressed the opinion that the

concentrated "Clean-Up" campaign heretofore conducted annually be

conducted more often, particularly in view of the favorable response and

reaction from the general public during the current campaign. As to the

,-

"blind" street intersections, some of which have been recently eliminated,

Council directed that owners of corner properties and/or subsequent owners

be apprised of the City's regulations governing the planting of shrubbery

and trees at or near corners and rights-of-way in order that "sight"

problems might not be created thereby.

As noted hereinabove, by a recorded and unanimous vote, Council convened into

Executive Session to discuss with Mr. Roy C. Stone matters pertaining to the

local bus transportation system, after which Session Council reconvened into

regular session and announced that Mr. Stone and City Transit have agreed

to continue the regular in-City bus service through the forthcoming summer

months, but not beyond, or until such time--if earlier--as the City might

make some other arrangement.

Council was adjourned.

W.
