<br />n~ <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />APRIL 25, 1972 <br /> <br />......--'^ <br /> <br />Also, pursuant to duly-advertised public notice, Council conducted a public <br /> <br />hearing on American Standard Homes' petition dated December 22, 1971, as <br /> <br />amended, requesting the rezoning of its property--located on the south side <br /> <br />of Stultz Road, as is to be relocated--to "M-3 Industrial". There being <br /> <br />no objections registered by anyone to the requested rezoning, and in <br /> <br />acceptance of the Planning Commission's recommendation (dated March 24, 1972) <br /> <br />,- <br /> <br />that the petition be approved, as amended, Council unanimously effected said <br /> <br />rezoning through the following ordinance amending the Cit~s Zoning Code <br /> <br />and Map: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, <br />in regular meeting assembled this twenty-fifth day of April, 1972, <br />that the Zoning Code and the Zoning Map of the City of Martinsville <br />be--and are hereby--amended to reclassify to "M-3 Industrial" that <br />certain property owned by American Standard Homes Corporation and <br />located on the south side of the proposed relocation of Stultz <br />Road, in North Martinsville. <br /> <br />Further, pursuant to duly-advertised public notice, Council conducted a <br /> <br />public hearing on a petition dated January 24, 1972, as filed by Martin's <br /> <br />Estate, Inc. (Mr. Robert S. Martin, President), and as amended, requesting <br /> <br />the rezoning to "R-6 Residential" of certain properties lying south of <br /> <br />Salem Street, between Memorial Boulevard and the right-of-way of the Norfolk <br /> <br />& Western Railway Company. There being no objections registered by anyone <br /> <br />to the proposed rezoning, Council unanimously effected said rezoning through <br /> <br />its adoption of the following ordinance amending the City's Zoning Code and <br /> <br />Map: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, <br />in regular meeting assembled this twenty-fifth day of April, 1972, <br />that the Zoning Code and the Zoning Map of the City of Martinsville <br />be--and are hereby--amended to reclassify to "R-6 Residential" those <br />properties (other than those presently zoned "C-3 Commercial") lying <br />south of Salem Street, between Memorial Boulevard and right-of-way <br />of the Norfolk & Western Railway. <br />
