1)

TUESDAY

MAY 26, 1970

~

furnish such service for the sum of $4,250.00 (for up to 250 printed pages,

plus $14.50 per additional page). The life of the contract would run for

two years from date thereof and would be subject to renegotiation for

supplemental services thereafter. There being sufficient funds available,

including an amount therefor in the proposed 1970-71 budget, Council authorized

the executing of said contract by City Manager Noland on behalf of the City.

-

Mr. J. Melvin Wyatt, in connection with a high water bill recently received

for one of his rental properties and relief for which is not allowed under

present City policy, recommended that--though no relief might be afforded

him in this instance--the City consider revising its policy to the extent

that where a water line leak or water loss occurs, resulting in an abnormal

bill, the City adjust the first month's bill therefor to that for normal

usage but make no such adjustment beyond the first month. Council referred

this matter to City Attorney Cubine for consideration and report back to

Council.

Council was adjourned.

-

w.

Clerk of Council

-
