That a 35-foot setback be maintained from any and all property lines <br />and a 50-foot separation be observed between all separate buildings. <br /> <br />3. That the granting of this permit be contingent upon the completion <br />and presentation of four copies of a final plan to the Agent of the <br />Planning Commission, which plan shall be acceptable to the Traffic & <br />Planning Director and the Public Works Director. <br /> <br />4. That all buildings comply with fire zone regulations applicable to <br />the C-l Commercial District and all other applicable City Code <br />requirements. <br /> <br />In acknowledging the retirement on February 28, 1970, of Willie o. Stultz, <br /> <br />Fire Department Captain, Council commended Mr. Stultz for his exemplary <br /> <br />service with the Fire Department, which service began June 7, 1945. <br /> <br />Pursuant to request of Mr. Howard J. Beck, Jr., local attorney, and Mr. John <br /> <br />E. Bowles, Executive Director of the Martinsville-Henry County "Big Brothers" <br /> <br />organization, Council authorized the entering into a least agreement (for one <br /> <br />dollar per year) with this organization for temporary use of City-owned <br /> <br />property at the corner of Cleveland and Water Streets, which agreement is to <br /> <br />have prior approval of City Attorney Cubine and is to hold the City harmless. <br /> <br />Recreation Director Herbert o. Hughes, in presenting an annual activity report <br /> <br />of his department, acknowledged with appreciation the splendid volunteer <br /> <br />assistance being rendered by many local and area citizens in the local recreation <br /> <br />programs and, also, pointed out the need not only for continued assistance of <br /> <br />this type but also for expanding volunteer assistance. In connection with such <br /> <br />assistance, Mr. Hughes presented Mr. Ray W. Loman, to whom--on behalf of the <br /> <br />Virginia Recreation & Parks Association--Mayor Renick presented a plaque in <br />
