H. Yeama , _ erk of Council

ADDENDUM

Council referred to the Planning Commission for its consideration and

recommendation, an application filed by Dr. S. W. Adams and Dr. William D.

Lewis on behalf of J. R. S. Enterprises, seeking a Special-Use Permit to allow

construction by petitioner of a medical complex (or office building) on a tract

on the north side of Northside Drive, adjacent to the site of the new Martinsville

General Hospital now under construction. In order to accommodate petitioner,

,-,

Council urged expeditious handling of this matter by the Commission and,

furthermore, suggested that the required public hearings be jointly

conducted by Council and the Commission at the earliest possible date, perhaps

being Council's forthcoming January 27th meeting.
