Councilman Lester's motion carried, all members voting in the affirmative. <br /> <br />In view of a revision in process to the rate increase application recently filed by <br /> <br />Southwestern Virginia Gas Company with the State Corporation Commission, Council <br /> <br />carried this matter forward to a later meeting. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council adopted the following <br /> <br />ordinance imposing a license tax on owners of motor vehicles within the City, for the <br /> <br />license tax year beginning March 1, 1975: <br /> <br />(see insert) <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council authorized the acceptance <br /> <br />of a seventeen-foot right-of-way from Mrs. Louise Johnson Dillard to provide public <br /> <br />access to residential properties located on King's Row Street, off Pine Hall Road. <br /> <br />Council referred to the Public Works Department several complaints received from <br /> <br />citizens residing on South Askin Street and New Dale Street concerning garbage-refuse <br /> <br />collection. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned (at approximately 10:35 P.M.) <br /> <br /> <br /><, <br /> <br />Clerk of Council <br />
