<br />35 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />DECEMBER 31, 1974 <br /> <br />a general "clean-up" collection service--in addition to the regular collection <br /> <br />service schedule--for the week beginning January 6, 1975. <br /> <br />Upon motion, dilly seconded and unanimously carried, Council convened into an <br /> <br />Executive Session to consider a real estate matter involving the CBD Commission <br /> <br />and Phase One of the current CBD project (downtown renewal). Following this <br /> <br />session, Council reconvened into regular meeting and, upon motion (duly seconded <br /> <br />and by a recorded unanimous vote), authorized leasehold payments of $6,000.00 to <br /> <br />Anastasia G. Basha and $1,000.00 to Calvin Riggs, as recommended by the CBD Commission, <br /> <br />for the remaining life of their tenant leases, being four years and two years <br /> <br />respectively. In addition, Council received a progress report from CBD Chairman <br /> <br />George W. Brown (Assistant City Manager & Director of Public Works), concerning <br /> <br />the Commission's building demolition schedule, the providing for interim motor <br /> <br />vehicle parking, the organizing of various CBD committees now in process, and <br /> <br />including an expression of appreciation and recognition of City Council's <br /> <br />support of the Commission in its work and undertaking. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />(0 ),...""
