<br />~98 <br /> <br />) <br />) <br /> <br />~ ~ <br /> <br />-.--. ~ <br /> <br />JULY 23, 1974 <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />Having viewed the various streets for which petitions are on file, requesting curb-and-gutter <br /> <br />and/or sidewalk, and in acceptance of the City administration's recommendations, Council <br /> <br />approved the following construction projects for fiscal 1974-75, representing a limited <br /> <br />program for such construction so as to retain emphasis on major construction projects <br /> <br />pending in the City's Thoroughfare Plan: <br /> <br />Curb-And-Gutter: <br />(1) Watt Street, from Fairy Street west to end of present curb-and-gutter; and <br />(2) North Street, from Fayette Street to end of pavement. <br />Sidewalk: <br />(1) Chatham Road, west side, from Commonwealth Boulevard to Myrtle Road; <br />(2) Spruce Street, south side, from Windsor Lane to Propsect Hill Drive; and <br />(3) Windsor Lane, east side, from Spruce Street to Indian Trail, this project <br />being a "carry-over" from the 1973-74 fiscal year. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council appointed the following citizens <br /> <br />to membership <br />(a) <br /> <br />on the Martinsville-Henry County Regional Library Board: <br />Mrs. Fred V. Woodson, Jr., for a four-term expiring July 1, 1978, <br />replacing Mr. Clarence P. Kearfott, who had expressed his desire <br />not to be reappointed; and <br />Mr. John W. Swezey, for the unexpired term (ending July 1, 1975) of <br />Dr. N.
