Following <br /> <br />this Executive Session, Council reconvened into regular session and announced <br /> <br />that Council had received said briefings and that, matters still being pending, <br /> <br />Council will take no action thereon until some future date. <br /> <br />In response to Vice-Mayor Boaz's inquiry as to developments, if any, with regard to <br /> <br />the recent request of Council by Dundee Lane residents for assistance toward <br /> <br />requiring Martinsville Cablevision to provide CATV service to those residents, <br /> <br />City Attorney Worthy informed the Council that he has conferred with the attorney <br /> <br />for Martinsville Cablevision on this matter but has received no indication from <br /> <br />the attorney of what his client proposes; however, City Manager Noland informed <br /> <br />the Council that, from indications he has received from this firm, it proposes to <br /> <br />serve the area, pending acquisition of necessary right-of-way to enable the firm <br /> <br />to install underground services as required for the area. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />W.
