<br />84 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 15, 1977 <br /> <br />In order to relieve traffic congestion and unsafe conditions, both <br />for traffic and pedestrians, on Pony Place in the City of Martinsville, <br />Virginia, it is deemed necessary by the Council of the City of <br />Martinsville, Virginia, to extend Pony Place to intersect with Fayette <br />Street in said City; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order that said extension on Pony Place may be opened, <br />constructed, repaired and maintained, it is necessary for the City <br />of Martinsville to acquire fee simple title to a portion of the lands <br />owned by Wray Park Corporation, in the City of Martinsville, over which <br />said extension to Pony Place is to be constructed, and, in addition to <br />the land of Wray Park Corporation to be acquired in fee simple, said <br />City needs to acquire a temporary construction easement and a drainage <br />easement over portions of the remaining lands of said Wray Park <br />Corporation, said lands being shown on a Right-of-Way Plan prepared <br />by the City of Martinsville's Engineering Division, dated September 7, <br />1977, a copy of which is on file in said Engineering office and a copy <br />of which is attached hereto as a part hereof, with the land to be <br />acquired in fee simple being outlined in red on said plan, and the land <br />to be subjected to said construction easement being outlined on said plan <br />in orange, and the land to be subjected to said drainage easement being <br />outlined in green on said plan, with said land to be acquired in fee <br />simple being more particularly described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the existing south right-of-way line of a <br />52-foot wide dedication for Pony Place and the corner <br />of lot ff79 as shown on a plat of Sub-Division for "Wray <br />Estates" by J. A. Gustin, C.E. and L.S., dated June 14, <br />1968, revised November 12, 1971, revised November 15, <br />1971; thence with the proposed right-of-way line of <br />Pony Place N. 580 05' 09" W. 21. 90 feet; thence with a <br />curve to the left having a radius of 10.00 feet and a <br />chord of S. 800 24' 6" W. 13.26 feet to the existing <br />east right-of-way line of Fayette Street; thence with <br />the right-of-way line of Fayette Street N. 380 53' 21" <br />E. 54.79 feet; thence with a curve to the right having <br />a radius of 2839.79 feet and a chord of N. 390 11' 4" <br />E. 29.27 feet; thence leaving the right-of-way line <br />of Fayette Street and along the proposed right-of-way <br />of Pony Place and with a curve to the left having a <br />radius of 20.00 feet and a chord of S. 090 18' 11" <br />E. 30.09 feet; thence S. 580 05' 09" E. 24.09 feet <br />to the rear corner of lot 8l-A and the north right-of <br />way line of Pony Place; thence S. 550 15' 50" W. <br />56.64 feet to the point of beginning and containing <br />approximately 2149 square feet of land; said land to be <br />subjected to said construction easement being shown on <br />said plan as outlined in orange containing approximately <br />2644 square feet; and said land to be subjected to said <br />drainage easement being shown as outlined in green on said <br />plan containing approximately 1180 square feet, all of the <br />
