Brown informed Council that the City's recent application <br /> <br />for a Federal grant of $50,000.00 toward the cost of renovating the <br /> <br />City's property at 19 South Moss Street (formerly the Ohev Zion Synagogue <br /> <br />and subsequently the American Legion Home), for usage by local senior <br /> <br />citizens, has been approved only for $38,501.00 and, as a result, the <br /> <br />City will be unable to complete the project, cost of which may reach <br /> <br />$60,000.00; nevertheless, according to Mr. Brown, prospects for <br /> <br />obtaining an additional $10,500.00 of Federal funds in the next year <br /> <br />are good and, should this additional amount be forthcoming, the project <br /> <br />might be essentially completed as planned. After some discussion, with <br /> <br />the project and question of applying for additional funds being <br /> <br />supported or opposed generally by the same citizens who addressed <br /> <br />Council on the preceding subject matter (i.e., whether to apply for a <br />
