<br />(.; f?'"' <br />f.." t.E <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER 7, 1976 <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />action by Council on this proposal be in keeping with the City's overall parking <br /> <br />plan. The motion was then amended to provide that, if carried, it would become <br /> <br />effective subject to final approval of the CBD Commission. With Mayor Fitz-Hugh <br /> <br />and Councilmen West and Oakes voting in favor of the motion, as amended, and with <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Hobson and Councilman Greene abstaining~ the motion was carried. <br /> <br />Upon inquiry of Councilmen Greene, Council was informed that the City's <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan is in the process of being revised and/or up-dated and <br /> <br />should be presented in the near future to Council for its consideration and <br /> <br />action. <br /> <br />Mrs. Diane A. Brownfield, of 908 Dundee Court, appeared before Council with <br /> <br />the proposal that the City provide free busing for all local public school <br /> <br />students to and from schools. Council referred this proposal to the City's <br /> <br />administrative staff for study, with a report thereon to be presented to <br /> <br />Council at its next regular meeting. <br /> <br />Mrs. Sandra L. Byrd, of 119 Big Jane Street, appeared before Council in an <br /> <br />effort to obtain the waiving of some of the recently-enacted "Dog Leash Law" <br /> <br />regulations whereby, when owners of dogs are away from home and at work <br /> <br />during the day, such owners will not be issued citations if their dogs <br /> <br />break their leashes and stray away from home. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />~,+C'\. . <br />W.
