William C. & Donald H. Edwards <br /> <br />requesting the rezoning from "C-2" to "C-3" that property located at 208 <br /> <br />Fayette Street, to allow the conduct of a used-car business at said <br /> <br />location. <br /> <br />Council unanimously renewed for 1976 the Special-Use Permit issued May 28, <br /> <br />1974 to the Martinsville Volunteer Fire Company for the conduct by this <br /> <br />organization of its Annual Firemen's Bazaar at Liberty Heights Fairgrounds <br /> <br />during the week June 21st-26th (1976). <br /> <br />Councilman Barry Greene called to the public's attention that recently- <br /> <br />enacted legislation by the Virginia General Assembly, permitting motor <br /> <br />vehicular right-turns at street intersections controlled by stop-lights, <br /> <br />when on "red" unless otherwise prohibited, will not become effective until <br /> <br />January 1, 1977 and, therefore, the public should in no way assume that this <br /> <br />legislation is applicable before said January 1st. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />W.
