<br />. -lC..,. ~-' <br />_ '. u <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />MARCH 23, 1976 <br /> <br />to coincide with the remainder of Mr. Brown's term as Treasurer of the <br /> <br />Commission~ with Council expressing appreciation not only of Mr. Brown's <br /> <br />commendable service in this capacity to the community during his tenure <br /> <br />but also of his willingness to serve for said interim term despite <br /> <br />a prior indication by him that he would prefer to serve no longer than <br /> <br />through March 31, 1976. <br /> <br />Vice-Mayor Hobson, reporting on a recent meeting of "City Beautiful", <br /> <br />chaired by Mrs. Sally M. Clark, informed Council that the 1976 <br /> <br />"Spring Clean-Up Week" is scheduled for the period April 5th through <br /> <br />April 9th. <br /> <br />In response to an inquiry from Councilman Greene, concerning the appointing <br /> <br />of a citizen-member to the West Piedmont Planning District Commission at the <br /> <br />expiration of Mr. George W. Brown's extended term (on June 30, 1976), the <br /> <br />suggestion was offered that a list of nominees be prepared for Council's <br /> <br />consideration in the near future. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />W. <br /> <br /> <br />Clerk of Council <br />
