<br />_,' f"'P <br />.10 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />MARCH 9, 1976 <br /> <br />,- <br /> <br />legal facet pertaining to this petition~ upon a recorded and unanimous vote <br /> <br />Council convened into an Executive Session. Following this session~ <br /> <br />Council reconvened into regular session and~ upon motion (duly seconded and <br /> <br />unanimously carried), Council adopted the following resolution recording <br /> <br />Council's official position with regard to said petition for annexation: <br /> <br />,.- <br /> <br />WHEREAS~ G. Randolph Wells and others have heretofore <br />filed a petition in the Circuit Court of Henry County~ <br />Virginia, which petition--with all attachments <br />thereto--is incorporated by reference herein as if <br />it were set forth herein verbatim; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said petition prays that 12.841 acres of land <br />in Henry County~ Virginia~ which land is more <br />particularly described therein~ be annexed to the <br />City of Martinsvi1le~ Virginia; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Martinsvil1e, Virginia~ in regular session held <br />on March 9~ 1976, that the City Attorney of the <br />City of Martinsvi11e be~ and he hereby is~ <br />authorized and directed to file such pleading or pleadings <br />in response to said petition as will be appropriate <br />to express the support of the City of Martinsvil1e therefor. <br /> <br />In connection with a recently published invitation for bids for the up-grading <br /> <br />of the City's sewage treatment plant~ i.e., to expand same and/or provide <br /> <br />facilities for secondary treatment~ Council was apprised of the following <br /> <br />fourteen bids received and opened on the afternoon of March 9~ 1976: <br /> <br />Bidder(s) <br />English Const.
