<br />-: r::' <br />.1. tJ t <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 24~ 1976 <br /> <br />of performance under this franchise, wishes to <br />establish a charge or charges higher than those <br />above prescribed, the grantee shall first make <br />application to the city council. The counci1~ <br />after public hearing~ duly advertised twice a <br />week for two consecutive weeks prior to the <br />hearing~ shall make determination to revise the <br />above prescribed charges or such charges as are <br />then in effect." <br /> <br />Section 24. Effective Date originally appearing on <br />page 16 and amended December 11, 1973 is amended to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />This ordinance shall be in force from and after <br />the 25th day of February~ 1976. <br /> <br />All provisions of the ordinance aforesaid originally <br />enacted March 22~ 1966~ and amended December 11~ 1973~ <br />not amended herein~ shall remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br />Mrs. Carroll D. Hink1e~ of 123 Big Jane Street, appeared before Council <br /> <br />and, along with representatives of both the City and the local Health <br /> <br />Department, reviewed a situation at this location and the adjoining area <br /> <br />in which there exists a problem with rodents. It was indicated that the <br /> <br />source of the problem is not yet known, whether from a broken sewer main or <br /> <br />from nearby Jones Creek~ or both; however, the Public Works Department reported <br /> <br />that its study of this situation is continuing and that every effort will <br /> <br />be made to locate the source of the problem that remedial steps may be <br /> <br />undertaken. In this connection, Vice-Mayor Hobson cited incidences of <br /> <br />litter and trash being strewn about in several areas of the City, <br /> <br />suggesting that~ in addition to the regularly-scheduled and periodic <br /> <br />"clean-up" campaigns~ this problem might require on-going attention. <br /> <br />Mr. Obie R.
