<br />.18 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 25, 1975 <br /> <br />registered by anyone to these proposed amendments, Council unanimously <br /> <br />adopted the following ordinances to incorporate these amendments into the <br /> <br />Zoning Ordinance: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br />Virginia, in regular meeting assembled this twenty-fifth <br />day of November, 1975, that the Zoning Ordinance of the <br />City of Martinsville be--and is hereby--amended, as follows: <br /> <br />(SECTION II. DEFINITIONS) <br /> <br />(Between "Frontage" and IIGuest House" the following shall be <br />inserted:) <br /> <br />Gross building area. The total land area covered by a <br />building or by buildings multiplied by the number of stories <br />of the building or buildings, exclusive of any interior mall <br />pedestrian traffic areas and exterior covered walkways but <br />including such sales cubicles as may be constructed at any <br />time in such interior mall traffic-ways. <br /> <br />- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br />Virginia, in regular meeting assembled this twenty-fifth <br />day of November, 1975, that the Zoning Ordinance of the <br />City of Martinsville be--and is hereby--amended, as follows: <br /> <br />(SECTION II. DEFINITIONS) <br /> <br />(Between "Lot, through" and "Marquee" the following shall be inserted:) <br /> <br />Mall, interior. A common pedestrian traffic area serving <br />more than two commercial enterprises and being fully enclosed and <br />under roof. <br /> <br />Mall, exterior. A common pedestrian area from which all <br />vehicular traffic is excluded and which mayor may not be fully or <br />partially under roof. <br /> <br />(Between "Service station" and "Sign" the following shall be inserted:) <br /> <br />Shopping center.
