<br />() <br />0.,. <br /> <br />October 10, 2006 <br /> <br />The next item of discussion related to renovations to the lower level of the <br /> <br />Municipal Building to create additional space for the Commonwealth Attorney's <br /> <br />Office and the J & D Court. Leon Towarnicki, Public Works Director, indicated <br /> <br />that due to the recent addition of several staff members to the Commonwealth <br /> <br />Attorney's office, there is a need for additional office space to accommodate <br /> <br />their operations as well as future anticipated space needed to expand the J & D <br /> <br />Courtroom. After review of five options, he indicated that Option 4 was the one <br /> <br />chosen by Commonwealth Attorney Joan Ziglar. Option 4 involves relocation of <br /> <br />Leisure Services, expansion of the J & D Courtroom, and renovation of the <br /> <br />existing Leisure Services space to fit the needs of the Commonwealth Attorney. <br /> <br />Option 3 is the same, without the expansion of the J & D Courtroom. Joan <br /> <br />Ziglar then arrived at the meeting from Court and indicated that Option 4 was <br /> <br />her choice, but she could live with Option 3. She said Judge Warren had <br /> <br />indicated that his needs were not as pressing as hers. Council Member <br /> <br />Anderson asked if there were some other capital projects we could postpone in <br /> <br />order to have the funds available and City Manager Collins indicated staff <br /> <br />would review the budget and bring back to the next meeting. The item will be <br /> <br />placed on the next agenda. <br /> <br />Further discussion on a school funding policy was tabled. <br /> <br />Libby Durham, Interim Public Relations and Financial Director for <br /> <br />CONTACT gave an overview of the program and requested funding from the <br />
