<br />;...., <br /> <br />September 26, 2006 <br /> <br />floor, Mayor Reynolds declared the Public Hearing closed. Council Member <br /> <br />Ferrill made a motion to amend the ordinance to name the short section of <br /> <br />street located off Northside Drive, known as Fairy Drive, and the newly <br /> <br />constructed connector between Fairy Drive and the existing Dudley Street, all <br /> <br />as Dudley Street and to adopt on first reading as amended; the motion was <br /> <br />duly seconded and carried by the following roll call vote, with all members <br /> <br />voting: Vote 5-0. Yeas (5) - Reynolds, Clark, Anderson, Ferrill, Lawson. Nays <br /> <br />(0) -None. <br /> <br />City Manager Collins requested that the matter on adoption of the <br /> <br />"School Funding Policy" be tabled. <br /> <br />Council considered designating a voting delegate and alternate for the <br /> <br />Virginia Municipal League Annual Conference in Virginia Beach on October 17, <br /> <br />2006. Council Member Ferrill moved to designate Mayor Reynolds as delegate <br /> <br />and Vice Mayor Clark as alternate; the motion was duly seconded and carried <br /> <br />by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5-0; Yeas: (5) Reynolds, <br /> <br />Clark, Anderson, Ferrill, Lawson. Nays: (0) None. <br /> <br />In business from the floor, Vincent Martin of 401 Armstead Avenue, <br /> <br />made comments concerning the recent plans to upgrade Wilson Park and <br /> <br />would like the City to consider upgrading all of the parks, particularly Baldwin <br /> <br />Park. Vince Stone of 1229 Sam Lions Trail, asked questions of Council <br />
