Loman, Apt. 15, 1506 Mulberry Road; <br />Walter M. Owens, Jr., 713 Forest Street; and <br />Michael R. Johnson, Route 1, Box 528, Spencer, Virginia. <br /> <br />(3) appointed Mr. Alfred Groden, of 1314 Mulberry Road, to membership <br />on the Martinsville Planning Commission for the unexpired term <br />(ending June 30, 1982) of Mr. T. J. Childress, Jr., resigned. <br /> <br />(4) Carried forward for further consideration the appointing of a <br />City representative to the WPPDC's Housing & Economic Development <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged receipt of the following staff reports: <br /> <br />(1) the status of arbitration proceedings to resolve the dispute <br />between the City and the Henry County Public Service Authority <br />over certain provisions of the 1974 Sewer Use Contract between <br />these two entities; and <br /> <br />(2) the status of on-going repairs to the City's hydro-electric <br />generator (No.2), which failed some months ago. <br /> <br />Because of the anticipated absence of both Mayor Greene and Councilman Reed from Council's <br />regular meeting scheduled for October 28, 1980, Council <br />voted to forego this meeting and hold no other meetings before its regular meeting <br /> <br />scheduled for November 11, 1980, unless urgency requires otherwise. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />W.
