<br />THURSDAY <br /> <br />MAY 22, 1980 <br /> <br />,-- <br /> <br />Council was reminded of its scheduled special meeting (see minutes of Council's <br /> <br />May 13th meeting) with the Martinsvil1e City School Board in the Council Chamber, <br /> <br />Friday, May 23, 1980, beginning at 11:00 A.M., for the purpose of receiving from <br /> <br />the School Board its proposed 1980-81 budget, a summary of which was included in <br /> <br />City Manager Noland's proposed 1980-81 City Budget. Meanwhile, Councilman West <br /> <br />pointed out that the comments and suggestions offered during Council's budget review <br /> <br />(during the meeting herein covered by these minutes) are not intended to alter the <br /> <br />-, <br /> <br />salary scales included in said proposed budget. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />':::, , <br />w. iI: ~~~:'hClerk of Council <br /> <br />ADDENDUM <br /> <br />The record notes that Assistant City Manager-Public Works Director <br />presented to Council a written statement entitled, IIprojected <br />Revenue and Expenditures--Water and Sewer Divisions", portraying <br />for the near future an increasing disparity between revenue and <br />expenses of these two utility systems, a forecast of greater-than- <br />estimated costs to be financed locally (because of on-going <br />inflation) for the UDAG grant water construction project, and the <br />estimated cost and funds available for the necessary expansion of <br />the City's Water Pollution Control (Sewage Treatment) Plant in the <br />near future. <br />
