"l <br /> <br />MONDAY <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 19, 1979 <br /> <br />Upon motions, duly seconded and unanimously carried, the two governing bodies convened <br /> <br />into an Executive Session, pursuant to Section 2.1-344(6) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, <br /> <br />and as amended), to consider legal briefings by the respective counsel(s) and by staff <br /> <br />personnel on a proposed water service contract or agreement between the two governing <br /> <br />bodies. At the conelusion of this Executive Session, the two bodies reconvened into <br /> <br />regular session and referred the proposed contract back to a special joint committee to <br /> <br />work out and clarify certain details of said proposed contract and to report back to the <br /> <br />governing bodies. <br /> <br />Upon recommendation of City Manager Noland, Council unanimously appropriated the sum of <br /> <br />$75,000.00 to implement in Martinsville the Virginia Fuel Assistance Program recently <br /> <br />authorized by the Honorable John N. Dalton, Governor of Virginia, to be administered by <br /> <br />the City's Department of Social Services and to be fully reimbursable by the Commonwealth <br /> <br />of Virginia. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />'i "e-'-- <br />W.
