<br />{.... /-', <br /> <br />~... ,:t.1 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />OCTOBER 23, 1979 <br /> <br />petition filed by Mrs. Bennett with Council on September 11, 1979, on behalf of <br /> <br />Mr. & Mrs. Leonard Brammer, seeking a "P-2 Professional" zoning of the Branuners' <br /> <br />property at 403 Starling Avenue, by which meeting it is expected the Planning <br /> <br />Commission will have submitted its recommendation thereon. <br /> <br />Upon inquiry of Vice~ayor Cole, it was agreed that Council will consider further <br /> <br />at its next regular meeting (November 13th) a proposed reciprocal-pooling insurance <br /> <br />plan, recently presented jointly to the Council and the City School Board; and, <br /> <br />will consider at said meeting the Audit Report for the City's fiscal year ended <br /> <br />June 30, 1979, as well as the Finance Director's financial report for the quarter <br /> <br />ended September 30, 1979. Also, upon inquiry of Vice-Mayor Cole, Council was <br /> <br />informed of the status of the City's "back-flow1l device program, indicating that <br /> <br />installations on the "high-risk'" water service connections within the City have <br /> <br />been completed, <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimously carried by a recorded vote, and pursuant <br /> <br />to Section 2,1-344(6) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, and as amended), Council <br /> <br />convened into an Executive Session for the purpose of considering two contractual <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />matters, viz., (1) possibly entering into an agreement with the Tultex Corporation <br /> <br />for the leasing from that corporation certain off-street parking facilities; and <br /> <br />(2) to be briefed on the status of negotiations with the County of Henry (and/or its <br /> <br />Public Service Authority) on a proposed water service agreement between the City and <br /> <br />Henry County. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />/ ,\ ~....-.~- ".t...,~' .v ,;- \. <br /> <br />W.
