<br />"" <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />JUNE 20, 1978 <br /> <br />e- <br /> <br />Concluding this special meeting, Councilman Oakes expressed appreciation to the <br /> <br />City's administrative personnel for its cooperaticp in revising the initial1y- <br /> <br />proposed budget in accordance with Council's objectives, noting that, including <br /> <br />1978-79, Council will not have increased local property taxes for three years. <br /> <br />In addition, Councilman Oakes urged, by way of challenge, the City's various <br /> <br />departments and employees to be as efficient as they possibly can in order that <br /> <br />the work of the City might be carried on at the least cost and, perhaps, with <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />less employees and/or through some consolidation of departments. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />~.~~~ <br />W.
