<br />THURSDAY <br /> <br />JUNE 8, 1978 <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council directed that the State Compensation <br /> <br />Board be requested to allow no more than 7% pay increases for the City's Constitutional Officers <br /> <br />and their employees, noting that in two such officers' budgets pay increases of 10% had been <br /> <br />requested for said officers and their employees for 1978-79. <br /> <br />Council then examined the proposed 1978-79 budget line-by-line, discussing certain items with <br /> <br />the respective department heads and suggesting certain revisions. <br /> <br />In conclusion, and upon motion-duly seconded and unanimously carried--Council called for a special <br /> <br />meeting to be conducted Tuesday, June 20, 1978, in the Council Chamber, beginning at 7:30 P.M., for <br /> <br />the purpose of conducting the required public hearing on said proposed budget, with due notice <br /> <br />thereof to be published (including a summary of the proposed budget) in accordance with statutory <br /> <br />requirements. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />W.
