' , <br />1:\ h <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER 28, 1982 <br /> <br />Upon reconvening into regular session, Council announced that no action would be taken <br /> <br />with regard to legal matters discussed; however, on matters relating to the foregoing <br /> <br />vacancies and/or appointments, upon separate motions (duly seconded and unanimously <br /> <br />carried), Council took the following actions: <br /> <br />A. Appointed Mrs. Barbara O. Holland to the Board of Directors <br />of The Piedmont Seniors of Virginia, Inc., for a three-year <br />term beginning September 28, 1982; <br />B. Appointed Councilman Reed and Industrial Development Authority <br />Chairman Irving M. Groves, Jr., to the ad hoc industrial <br />development planning study committee (recently proposed by the <br />Chamber of Commerce and to consist of these two appointees from <br />the City, two appointees from the County of Henry, and two <br />representatives of the Chamber of Commerce); and <br />C. Appointed Mrs. Mary Jane Cragun to the Transportation Safety <br />Commission for an unexpired term ending December 31, 1984. <br /> <br />Council then made a part of the record~for inclusion as to values in a stated policy <br /> <br />governing the disposition of City-owned property within the City's Industrial Park, <br /> <br />the following memorandum report (of September 28th) from City Manager Edmonds: <br /> <br />As discussed tentatively with you, all tracts remaining in the <br />ownership of the City within the Industrial Park have now been <br />appraised by two independent appraisers.
