<br />,) <br />L, ~.J <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />MAY 11, 1982 <br /> <br />Mayor Greene also asked that a status report be provided to Council on the progress <br /> <br />being made by Martinsville Cablevision toward rebuilding its local system to make <br /> <br />available to its subscribers a modern 35-channel system in accordance with amend- <br /> <br />ments to the CATV Franchise Ordinance (held by Multi-Channel T. V. Cable Company of <br /> <br />Mansfield, t/a Martinsville Cablevision), as adopted January 26, 1982. <br /> <br />Mayor Greene, too, with the concurrence of members of Council, requested that copies <br /> <br />of Council's meeting agenda, with supporting information as well as copies of other <br /> <br />information and reports furnished members of Council, be forwarded to Mrs. Eliza H. <br /> <br />Severt, who on May 4th was elected a member of City Council for a four-year term <br /> <br />beginning July 1, 1982. <br /> <br />Pursuant to the applicable sub-section of Section 2.1-344 of the CODE OF VIRGINIA <br /> <br />(1950, and as amended), and upon motion--duly seconded and unanimously carried by a <br /> <br />recorded vote--Council convened into an Executive Session for the purpose of con- <br /> <br />sidering the appointing or reappointing of a local citizen to the City's Board of <br /> <br />Appeals. Upon reconvening into regular session, Council unanimously reappointed Mr. <br /> <br />J. A.
