<br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />AUGUST 25, 1981 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />the City's recent request for usage of certain water supply sources on an emergency <br /> <br />basis. Upon reconvening into regular session, Council took no action on the first- <br /> <br />named matter; and, as to the second-named matter and upon motion, duly seconded and <br /> <br />unanimously carried and noting that the Henry County Supervisors' response to the City's <br /> <br />request for emergency usage of Reed Creek as a water supply source was in good faith but <br /> <br />left certain questions unanswered and yet to be resolved, Council directed that the City <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />administration discuss this response and proposal with Henry County officials and/or <br /> <br />with officials of the Henry County Public Service Authority in an effort to obtain <br /> <br />answers to these questions and to report back thereon to Council at a special meeting <br /> <br />of Council, hereby duly called, to be conducted on Tuesday, September 1, 1981, in the <br /> <br />Council Chamber, City Hall, beginning at 7:30 P.M., for the purpose of receiving said <br /> <br />report and taking such actions thereon and on related matters as Council deems necessary. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />w. <br /> <br /> <br />Clerk of Council <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />ADDENDUM <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />The record notes that Central Telephone Company of Virginia, pursuant to the requirements <br />of its franchise granted by Martinsville City Council as well as to rules promulgated by <br />the State Corporation Commission, has duly filed with the City a copy of its application <br />filed with said Commission seeking authority to increase and restructure applicant's <br />rates and charges for its telephone service (rendered in Virginia), effective <br />September 14, 1981. <br />
