<br />t, <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />JULY 28, 1981 <br /> <br />The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br /> <br />in the Council Chamber, City Hall, beginning at 7:30 P.M., all members of Council <br /> <br />Virginia, with Mayor Barry A. Greene presiding, was held Tuesday, July 28, 1981, <br /> <br />being present, viz., Barry A. Greene, Mayor; William C. Cole, Jr., Vice Mayor; <br /> <br />L. D. Oakes; Henry C. Reed; and Francis T. West. <br /> <br />After the invocation, Council approved--as recorded--the minutes of its regular <br /> <br />meeting held July 14, 1981. <br /> <br />Pursuant to duly-published notice, Council conducted a public hearing on a <br /> <br />proposal, recommended by the Planning Commission, to change the names of certain <br /> <br />Accordingly, upon motion (duly seconded and unanimously carried), Council ordered <br /> <br />streets and/or sections of streets, at which hearing no objections were registered. <br /> <br />the following changes in the following street names: <br /> <br />PRESENT NAME & LOCATION <br /> <br />NEW NAME <br /> <br />1.
