<br />l~ <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />JULY 26, 1983 <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />25-KW estimated demand delivered under Schedules R.S. and <br />S.G.S., extend service not more than 200 feet from adjacent <br />existing primary line facilities where capacity is presently <br />available, at no charge to the customer. <br /> <br />For service delivered under Schedules R.S., S.G.S., L.G.S., <br />and L.C.P., requiring new facilities not covered above, the <br />City will extend service under the following arrangements: <br /> <br />.~. <br /> <br />a. Where estimated gross revenue for one year <br />exceeds the cost of installation of the new <br />facilities required, service will be extended <br />at no cost to the customer. <br /> <br />b. Where the estimated gross revenue for one year <br />is less than the cost of installation of the <br />new facilities required, the customer will pay <br />the difference. In no case, however, shall <br />the customer pay more than the cost of the <br />installation. <br /> <br />c. In either case of a. or b. above, an additional <br />$25.00 service fee will be charged the customer <br />for each single phase meter and/or a $50.00 ser- <br />vice fee will be charged the customer for each <br />three phase meter installed on the job. Credit <br />will be applied for cost of meters used during <br />temporary construction. <br /> <br />Council unanimously accepted the following report and recommendations prepared by Messrs. <br /> <br />James W. Wagoner, Jr., Chairman of the Henry County Board of Supervisors, and William C. <br /> <br />Cole, Jr., Mayor of the City of Martinsville, pertaining to the once-proposed City-County <br /> <br />merger and to on-going cooperative efforts of the two jurisdictions, which report and <br /> <br />recommendations the Henry County Board of Supervisors accepted (be a vote of four to two) <br /> <br />at its regular meeting held July 25, 1983: <br /> <br />I. History <br /> <br />A Merger Study Committee was organized in May, 1981. The Committee <br />consisted of sixteen people, eight from the County and eight from <br />the City. <br /> <br />Four sub-committees were formed to examine in detail the advantages <br />and disadvantages of merger in fOilr major areas: <br />
