<br />l~24 <br /> <br />JUNE 14, 1983 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />Contingent upon payment of the following delinquent real est~te taxes due in the fol- <br /> <br />lowing cases, and it being determined that the present owners of the properties involved <br /> <br />are not at fault, Council unanimously authorized and directed that penalties and interest <br /> <br />accrued on these taxes be waived: <br /> <br />A. Lot No. 95A, at 925 Myrtle Road, presently owned by Mr. & Mrs. <br />Paul Yeffstig, on which property taxes of $17.58 are due and <br />unpaid for the year 1963; <br /> <br />B. Lot 5, Block 7, at 218 Moss Street, presently owned by the <br />estate of Cedric L. Hankins, on which property taxes of $52.50 <br />are due and unpaid for the year 1965; <br /> <br />C. Lots 11, 12, and 13 (Section 9) on Morrison Road, presently <br />owned by Jimmy Ray and Carol G. Lewis, on which property taxes of $13.50 <br />are due and unpaid for the year 1970; and <br /> <br />D. Property at 811 Carter Street (Lot No. 67), presently owned by <br />Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, on which taxes of <br />$60.59 are due and unpaid for the year 1964. <br /> <br />Council unanimously accepted for introduction--and for further consideration at its <br /> <br />forthcoming June 28th meeting, by which time those interested parties or industry <br /> <br />representatives (who have not participated in two recently-held conferences) will have <br /> <br />been notified in advance thereof--an ordinance designed to amend (in accordance with <br /> <br />current Federal regulations) Appendix B of, and add Appendix F to, the City's Terms and <br /> <br />Conditions of Water and Sewer Service(s), relating to industrial discharges into the <br /> <br />City's sanitary sewer system. <br /> <br />City Manager Edmonds, in observing his third anniversary as the City's City Manager, <br /> <br />expressed his appreciation of the opportunity of serving the City in this capacity as <br /> <br />well as his a~preciation of the work and assistance of all City employees and of Mayor <br /> <br />Cole's leadership and of the Council's support and encouragement. <br />
