Quinlan <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council approved--as recorded--the <br /> <br />minutes of its regular meeting held June 26, 1984, and (of) its special organizational <br /> <br />meeting held July 2, 1984. <br /> <br />In tentative acceptance of the Planning Commission's recommendation for approval, <br /> <br />Council called for a duly-advertised public hearing to be conducted at its forthcoming <br /> <br />July 24th regular meeting on a petition filed by L. D. Fisher, Jr., (through his agent, <br /> <br />Dewey Baldwin), seeking the rezoning from "R-9 Residential" to "P-2 Professional" those <br /> <br />certain lots identified as Lots Nos. 12, 13, 25, and 26, situated off the east end of <br /> <br />Valleydale Drive and being adjacent to property currently owned and used by Roselawn <br /> <br />Funeral Home. <br /> <br />Also, in tentative acceptance of the Planning Commission's recommendation for approval <br /> <br />(subject to certain conditions), Council called for a duly-advertised public hearing to <br /> <br />be conducted at its forthcoming July 24th regular meeting on a petition filed by Brown's, <br /> <br />Incorporated, (through Mrs. Mary Brown Mei), requesting the vacating and abandonment of <br /> <br />that section of Nyack Road which lies between the north side of Wade Street and the <br /> <br />southwest side of the Norfolk & Southern Railway's right-of-way.
