<br />')~0 <br />~) , ~ <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />JUNE 26, 1984 <br /> <br />acknowledged with appreciation the opportunity to have served the City and its citizens <br /> <br />as well as the cooperation of past and present members of Council and the City's admin- <br /> <br />istrative staff. <br /> <br />Upon separate motions, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council reappointed Mr. <br /> <br />Stafford G. Whittle, III, to membership on the City's Board of Appeals for a five-year <br /> <br />term ending May 11, 1989, and appointed Mr. D. W. Hinton to membership on the City's <br /> <br />Social Services Administrative Board for the unexpired term of Mr. Ralph J. Pruitt <br /> <br />(resigned, effective June 30, 1984), which unexpired term will end on June 30, 1986. <br /> <br />Council was reminded of its organizational meeting, as required by the City Charter, <br /> <br />scheduled for Monday, July 2, 1984, in the Council Chamber, beginning at 9:00 A.M., at <br /> <br />which time Councilman L. D. Oakes and Messrs. Alfred T. Groden and Clyde L. Williams, <br /> <br />duly elected (Mr. Oakes being re-elected) at the general election held May 1, 1984, for <br /> <br />four-year terms ending June 30, 1988, will subscribe to oaths of office as members of <br /> <br />Council, and at which time the Council will elect a Mayor and Vice-Mayor for two-year <br /> <br />terms beginning July 1, 1984. <br /> <br />Mayor Cole then declared this meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />'ls <br />W.
