Cole, Jr., presiding, was held Tuesday, January 10, 1984, in the <br /> <br />Council Chamber, City Hall, beginning at 7:30 P.M., all members being present, viz., <br /> <br />William C. Cole, Jr., Mayor; L. D. Oakes, Vice-Mayor; Henry C. Reed; Eliza H. Severt; and <br /> <br />Francis T. West. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />After the invocation and following Mayor Cole's cordial welcome to visitors present, Council <br /> <br />recognized--through Mayor Cole and City Manager Edmonds--and presented awards to the following <br /> <br />employees who completed five-year incremental periods of employment with the City, as of <br /> <br />December 31, 1983: <br /> <br />Five Years <br /> <br />Douglas Randall Hall, Water Meter Technician, Public Works <br />Larry Edward Mayhew, Firefighter I, Fire Department <br />Judy D. Robertson, Senior Office Associate, Public Works <br /> <br />Ten Years <br /> <br />Dennis D. Bowles, Meter Technician Supervisor, Electric <br />Ronald L. Hatcher, Investigator/Detective, Police Department <br />Charles E. Long, Complaint Officer, Corporal, Police Department <br />Betty J. Robertson, School Crossing Guard, Police Department <br />B. B.
