Fitts <br /> <br />Director, Finance Department <br /> <br />""k <br /> <br />Not present <br /> <br />City Manager Brown introduced to the Council Mr. Valdir Togni, Financial and Economic <br /> <br />Director of the City of Pocos de Caldas, Brazil, who is in Martinsville for the pur- <br /> <br />pose of examining and studying the City's electric utility system. <br /> <br />Council unanimously approved, as recorded, the minutes of its regular meeting held <br /> <br />June 24, 1986, and of its organizational meeting held July 1, 1986. <br /> <br />Council referred to City Manager Brown a request filed in person by Mr. Charles M. <br /> <br />Alberto, of 1027 Indian Trail, for additional signs and a protective barrier at the <br /> <br />intersection of Indian Trail and Sam Lion Trail which Mr. Alberto deemed necessary in <br /> <br />the interest of safety for traffic and pedestrians at said intersection. <br /> <br />Pursuant to statutory requirements and to duly-published notice, Council conducted a <br /> <br />public hearing on a petition recently filed by Mr. James M. Wilson seeking the re- <br /> <br />zoning of Lot No. 28 at 711 Starling Avenue from R-6 Residential to P-2 Professional. <br /> <br />There being no objections registered to this proposed rezoning, and in acceptance of <br /> <br />the Planning Commission's June 19th recommendation that this property be so rezoned, <br />
