<br />~o 5'" <br /> <br />Tuesday, June 10, 1986 <br /> <br />Upon motion by Councilman Oakes, duly seconded by Vice-Mayor Severt, <br /> <br />Council unanimously authorized a five-year Lease Agreement with <br /> <br /> <br />Lucile A. Weaver for use of a parcel of land situated on the north <br /> <br />side of Main Street used for public parking for an annual rate of <br />$6,600.00. <br /> <br />Upon motion by Councilman Oakes, duly seconded by Vice-Mayor Severt, <br /> <br /> <br />Council unanimously authorized a one-year Lease Agreement with Hooker <br /> <br /> <br />Furniture Corporation for use of a parcel of land known as English <br />Field on Commonwealth Boulevard and Chatham Road by the Parks and <br />Recreation Department for an annual rate of $706.80 (the tax rate). <br />The Council asked that the City Manager send a letter to Hooker <br />Furniture on behalf of the Council thanking them for allowing the <br /> <br />City use of this property. <br /> <br />Upon motion by Councilman Oakes, duly seconded by Councilman Groden, <br />Council unanimously accepted the Planning Commission's recommendation <br /> <br /> <br />and granted an extension of the Special Use Permit (to include the <br /> <br /> <br />month of June, 1986) for the Martinsville Volunteer Fire Company to <br /> <br /> <br />operate their Annual Bazaar at Liberty Heights Fairgrounds June <br /> <br />16-21, 1986, subject to their submitting an application for a new <br /> <br /> <br />Permit for next year. It was noted that their Special Use Permit <br /> <br />with five-year annual review by the Council had expired in 1985, and <br /> <br /> <br />due to an oversight a request for a new permit had not been submitted <br /> <br />in time for the Planning Commission and Council to conduct public <br />
