Functions Under City Manager 36 <br /> Total 100 <br /> <br />As you will note, the percentages <br />the range of percentage of General <br />three categories. <br /> <br />in Alternative No. 2 are in <br />Fund expenditures for these <br /> <br />The following comments are offered with respect to the proposed <br />cuts under both alternatives for those functions under the <br />jurisdiction of the City Manager. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVE NO. 1 <br /> <br />Transportation Allowance: Travel allowances for <br />commission members to attend meetings were included for <br />two commissions (not three) as previously stated, <br />therefore, $1,400 can be cut. <br /> <br />Fire Truck: Under our budget proposal $48,031 included <br />in the current budget would be carried over <br />(reappropriated) with an additional $51,969 to be <br />appropriated in FY86-87, bringing the total funds <br />available for replacing the ladder truck to $100,000. <br />This would enable the City to obtain this equipment on <br />a three (3) year lease purchase arrangement. <br /> <br />This alternative reduces the appropriation by $30,000 <br />leaving $70,000 which would still permit purchase of <br />the equipment but under a five (5) year lease purchase <br />agreement. <br /> <br />Air Condition Jail: The State has appropriated <br />matching funds to match the $21,000 that is included in <br />the proposed budget. However, in consideration of our <br />budget concerns this can be cut and perhaps installed <br />at some later date. <br />
