Ronnie Minter, Commissioner <br /> <br />of the Revenue for the City, in which he noted that of 142 applications for local tax relief <br /> <br />for the Elderly and for the Totally-Permanently Disabled 130 qualified; and, of these 130, <br /> <br />fourteen were disabled with tax relief being granted in the total sum of $1,652.43, and the <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />remaining 116 were elderly with tax relief being granted in the total sum of $9,209.07, for <br /> <br />a combined 1986 tax relief of $10,861.50. <br /> <br />Upon recommendation of City Manager Brown, Council appropriated for the City's Housing Re- <br /> <br />habilitation Program the following amounts anticipated from the Virginia Department of <br /> <br />Housing & Community Development as Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds under a <br /> <br />two-year grant which expires November 30, 1987: <br /> <br />FY '86 <br />FY '87 <br />FY '88 <br /> <br />Total <br /> <br />$ 62,582 <br />107,280 <br />44,708 <br />$214,570 <br />
