1 TUESDAY, APRIL 21, 1987 16. The Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation (Mr. Larry Wuensch, Executive pirector - no increase being asked for 1987-88) ; 17. The Blue Ridge Airport Authority (Mr. Morton W. Lester, Board Chairman _ seeking an increase of $7,000.00 toward the upkeep of recently-added facili ties); 18. The Blue Ridge Regional Library (Mr. George Coleman, Finance Committee Chairman - seeking an increase from the City, over that allowed by Council for the current year, of $30,399.00 to help finance the cost of returning to the full-service schedule in effect before July 1, 1986, by the employing of one person full-time, three persons on a half-time basis, and one page, with Councilman McClain suggesting a 3% reduction in the Library's 1987-88 request of the City, or a reduction of some $7,362.00 from the request of $245,399.00.); --- 19. Central Piedmont Employment Consortium (Ms. Kristen Shores who, at Council's request, agreed to provide the Council with details of this agency's total budget); and 20. The Virginia Museum of Natural History (Dr. Noel Boaz, Executive Director, accompanied by Mrs. Gail Gregory - no increase over 1986-87 requested; review of programs and plans for new exhibits; total operating budget now $651,000.00). Council agreed to study and consider these and other sections of City Manager Brown's recommended City Budget for 1987-88 at Council's forthcoming regular meeting to be held April 28, 1987, and to attempt to conclude its considerations thereon at the special meeting scheduled for this purpose (i.e., budget study) on May 5, 1987, in the Council Chamber, City Hall, beginning at 1:30 P.M. .- Mayor Oakes then declared this meeting adjourned. w.
