In

addition, responding to inquiries as to whether Federal aid funds are (or will be)

available to assist in financing color removal facilities, City Manager Brown

indicated that such funds are not available because the City can not qualify (or is

ineligible) for Federal aid for color removal facilities (i.e., "for local

contributing causes"); nevertheless, members of Council urged that every effort be

exerted to obtain Federal financial aid where such is available. Council was

-

informed, too, that results from the "pilot plant study" should be available within

four months and that these findings should be of value to both the City and the

Henry County Public Service Authority.

Council acknowledged receipt of the following staff reports, viz.,

A. Status of the UDAG application for $3,000,000 for proposed downtown
hotel project; and

F. Status of Dorn-Will Corporation's proposed nursing home facility to be
located off East Church Street (Route 58) near the City's east
corporate limits.

For discussion and/or explanation, Councilman Cole asked that the "BOCA Permit"

question be placed on the agenda for Council's forthcoming March 10th meeting.

(Note: It is believed that this question involves a requirement of the BOCA Fire

Prevention Code, adopted by the City in 1982, that a one-time permit be obtained, at

a cost of $10.00, by each and every local non-residential enterprise, in the
