<br />lr <br />d. <br /> <br />September 12, 2006 <br /> <br />At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each returning member of <br /> <br />Council certified that (1) only public business matters exempt from open <br /> <br />meeting requirements were discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only <br /> <br />those business matters identified in the motion convening the Closed Session <br /> <br />were heard, discussed, or considered during said Session. Upon returning to <br /> <br />Open Session, Vice Mayor Clark made a motion that Mary Blankenship, Bruce <br /> <br />Dallas, Phyllis Karavatakis, Steve Lemons and Geri Ridenhour be appointed to <br /> <br />the J. Frank Wilson Park Steering Committee; the motion was duly seconded <br /> <br />and carried by the following vote, all members voting: Vote: 5-0. Yeas: (5) <br /> <br />Reynolds, Clark, Anderson, Ferrill, Lawson. Nays: (0) None. <br /> <br />Mayor Reynolds expressed thanks to everyone who had submitted their <br /> <br />names for the committee and encouraged them to be involved on the design <br /> <br />committee. Steve Lemons announced the Community Volunteer Clean-up Day <br /> <br />at the Park on October 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and encouraged citizens to <br /> <br />participate. <br /> <br />Council considered conducting a public hearing approvIng the sale of <br /> <br />City-owned real property consisting of 238.366 acres in the Reed Creek District <br /> <br />of Henry County to Jesse Cahill and authorizing the City Manager to execute a <br /> <br />deed conveying said property as noted. Mayor Reynolds declared the public <br /> <br />hearing open; with no response, he declared it closed. Council Member Lawson <br /> <br />moved to approve the sale of the property to Jesse Cahill and authorize the City <br /> <br />Manager to sign the deed; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the <br />
