<br /><f1 <br />(,), <br /> <br />August 8, 2006 <br /> <br />Board member; Dr. Edward Van Oeveren, Health Department Director, and <br /> <br />Larry Hasson, Dewberry's Architect, reviewed all of the options and determined <br /> <br />that Option 5 was the best option. <br /> <br />,- <br /> <br />Mr. Summerlin indicated that three points needed to be kept in mind <br /> <br />during the presentation: 1) all options are costly; 2) participation by the <br /> <br />Commonwealth of Virginia is essential to go forward with this project; and 3) <br /> <br />whatever option is chosen, the process will be a long one due to the fact there <br /> <br />are similar needs all across the State. Mr. Summerlin then introduced Larry <br /> <br />Hasson of Dewberry & Davis. <br /> <br />Mr. Hasson proceeded to make his presentation of the Assessment with <br /> <br />Power Point. He indicated that the Committee had determined that Option 5 <br /> <br />was the best option, which is the construction of a new joint facility on a site <br /> <br />adjacent to the Henry County Courthouse on Kings Mountain Road. <br /> <br />After discussion and questions by Members of City Council and the <br /> <br />Board of Supervisors, Mayor Reynolds and Chairman Vaughn thanked Mr. <br /> <br />Hasson for the presentation. <br /> <br />With there being no other discussion, the meeting was adjourned at 4:05 <br /> <br />P.M. <br /> <br />"..-... <br /> <br />kAJ.~Xhv <br /> <br />Susan N.
