Mr. Collins also gave a <br /> <br /> <br />brief explanation of amendments to the Constitution and By-laws of the <br /> <br /> <br />Martinsville Volunteer Fire Company and to the Flexible Spending Account <br /> <br />Summary Plan Description and those items will be placed on the next meeting <br /> <br />agenda for Council action. The Consent Agenda items will also be on the next <br /> <br />agenda for action. <br /> <br />Mayor Cobbe announced the Garden Club annual lily show at Piedmont <br /> <br />Arts Association on June 21-22. Mr. Collins reminded Council that the annual <br /> <br />water report has been mailed to all utility customers and there were no <br /> <br />violations this past year. Any Council member who wants to attend the annual <br /> <br />VML Conference in October needs to let Susan Johnson, Clerk, know as soon <br /> <br /> <br />as possible. Vice-Mayor Reynolds has been elected to the Executive Board of <br /> <br /> <br />First Virginia Cities. Council Member Clark reminded everyone of the <br /> <br /> <br />festivities this weekend that coincide with the June German Ball. <br /> <br />Robert Williams arrived at the meeting and expressed his interest m <br /> <br />serving on the School Board. <br /> <br />Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session.
