<br />May 9, 2006 <br /> <br />(c) If an abandoned bicycle or moped is not reclaimed, within thirty (30) days from the <br />date of impounding, the Chief of Police or his agent shall provide for the public sale of such <br />bicycle or moped. <br /> <br />(d) Any bicycle or moped found and delivered to the police department by a private <br />person which thereafter remains unclaimed for thirty (30) days after the final date of publication <br />as required herein may be given to the finder; however, the location and description of the <br />bicycle or moped shall be published at least once a week for two (2) successive weeks in a <br />newspaper of general circulation in the city. In addition, if there is a decal affixed to the bicycle <br />or moped, the record owner shall be notified directly. <br /> <br />Council next considered the adoption of a Resolution authorizing the City <br /> <br />Manager to execute an agreement with AMP-Ohio concerning the development <br /> <br />of new hydroelectric power plants located on the Ohio River utilizing the "Hydro <br /> <br />Matrix" technology. City Manager Dan Collins gave an overview of the project. <br /> <br />He indicated that first a feasibility study will be done and a report will be <br /> <br />brought back to the participating localities for approval to continue with the <br /> <br />project. Council Member Roop moved to adopt the following Resolution; the <br /> <br />motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, all members <br /> <br />voting: Vote: 5-0. Yeas: (5) Cobbe, Reynolds, Roop, Ferrill, Clark. Nays: (0) <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING <br />THE EXECUTION OF A HYDROMATRIX DEVELOPMENTAL <br />SUBSCRIPTION AND COST SHARING AGREEMENT BY <br />THE CITY OF MARTINSVILLE, VIRGINIA <br />WITH AMERICAN MUNICIPAL POWER-OHIO, INe. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Martinsville (hereinafter "Municipality") owns and operates an <br />electric utility system for the benefit of the Municipality, its citizens and taxpayers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by working jointly with American Municipal Power-Ohio, Inc.
