<br />May 9,2006 <br /> <br />(3) Trucks of more than fifteen thousand (15,000) pounds gross weight: One dollar <br />($1.00) per one thousand (1,000) pounds gross weight. <br />(4) Motorcycles: Five dollars ($5.00). <br />(5) Mopeds: Five dollars ($5.00). <br /> <br />Section 12-53 Issuance of decal generally is amended to read: <br /> <br />Upon proper application, payment of the prescribed fee and compliance with other <br />provisions of this article, a city license decal may be issued by the Treasurer, which may at the <br />discretion of the recipient be displayed on the windshield of the motor vehicle. <br /> <br />Sections 12-54, 12-55, 12-56, 12-57 and 12-58 are repealed and reserved. <br /> <br />Section 12-147 Fees is amended to read: <br /> <br />When a moped is registered, there shall be paid the sum of five dollars ($5.00). When the <br />registration is changed from one person to another or from one moped to another, there shall be <br />paid the sum ofthree dollars ($3.00). Said sums shall be paid to the City Treasurer's Office. <br /> <br />Sections 12-148 and 12-149 are repealed and reserved. <br /> <br />Section 12-151 Records is amended to read: <br /> <br />The Chief of Police or his designee shall keep a complete record of all mopeds registered <br />pursuant to this article, showing the name and address of the owner thereof, the make, class and <br />frame number of such moped, and such other information as the Chief of Police or his designee <br />may prescribe. <br /> <br />Sections 12-152 and 12-153 are repealed and reserved. <br /> <br />Section 12-155 Impoundment of abandoned or unregistered bicycles and mopeds is amended to <br />read: <br /> <br />(a) Any unattended bicycle found under such times and circumstances that indicate it <br />has been lost or stolen shall be deemed abandoned. If a reasonable attempt to locate the owner <br />or user in the immediate vicinity of the bicycle fails to produce the owner or user, any bicycle so <br />abandoned shall be taken into custody and impounded by the chief or police or any officer of the <br />police department. <br /> <br />(b) No abandoned bicycle or moped shall be released or removed from impoundment <br />except upon satisfactory showing of ownership and in the case of mopeds, display of a city <br />registration certificate and proper display of a tag or number plate by the owner or an agent of <br />the owner. <br />
